Joseph Donnelly, a senior at North Kingstown High School, is the recipient of the $2000 North Kingstown Community Chorus Music Scholarship for 2026. Joe is an excellent student and a talented vocalist who also plays bass guitar, piano, and ukelele. He is a serious music student who has taken voice lessons for the past three years. He has been in the NKHS Concert Choir all four years as well as the Spring Musical, working tech as a freshman and then onstage for the
last three years. He recently played the role of Billy Crocker in Anything Goes and won best supporting actor and outstanding lead performer. He is a young man of high character and quiet leadership. His music teacher wrote about Joe that “she witnessed his compassion and patience working with a student who struggled socially during the production.” In addition to his workload as an Honors and AP student and his time spent on music, Joe also is committed to community service. He volunteers at a local food shelter serving meals every Friday morning and helps at a local animal shelter feeding and walking the animals. In the fall, Joe plans on attending Bentley University in Waltham, MA. He plans to continue with his voice lessons, take music classes when they fit into his schedule, and participate in theater at school or in community productions. Congratulations and good luck Joe. |

Her music teacher describes her as a standout member of the Advanced Choir who not only has an exceptional voice, but it is her work ethic and humility that make her truly remarkable. He goes on to say that she has been an integral part of the theater program for four years. She frequently earned lead roles yet treats every member of the cast and crew with kindness and
